“Excellent value for money- basic and clean” We booked an inland studio in July of this year. We were delighted when we arrived to discover we had a 2 bedroom apartment with a seaview!! Closest supermarket was 2 doors from our apartment and stocked everything we needed- good value for food and alcohol. We didn't need air con switched on until the 4th day( small extra charge) but as the temperature was getting hotter daily the 2 fans provided werent enough by that stage. We slept in smaller double bedroom as it was easier to keep cool at night. We used large twin room for storing clothes+getting dressed as there were only 2 of us. Balcony with seaview was great to relax in the afternoon. The apartment was basic with fridge, microwave and cooker rings. It was all we needed. We utiliised both the roof pool and the bar level pool. Within walking distance to beach. Worth a visit. Staff very friendly. Room Tip: Ask for seaview and double bed if required as available in some apartments Quoted from Trip Advisor

“A GOOD BASE CAMP” very helpful and friendly staff, great room with fridge and cooker and kettle handy for lunch time.Food was good with theme nights however we found it strange that the cooked breakfast boufet never had bacon, seemingly it can be had but costs extra, the 2 pools are good one appears to be in shad and the other in sunshine, handy if it gets too hot I suppose. An ideal location for going to Gozo by bus,€2.60 for an all day bus ticket,€.60 for a return ferry ticket, strangely you pay for it when LEAVING Gozo, not going.Visited Valleta went the inland route by bus and returned the coastal route. a word of warning to the infirm,.the hotel is at the bottom of a hill and Meliiieha village proper is at the top of the hill, although the bus stop is beside the hotel and there are adequate buses to the village and ther are bars etc. nearby the hotel and SO IS THE LOVELY BEACH ! THE Malta bus ticket is UNFORTUNATELY not valid on the Gozo buses the price is the same though for a day ticket. Quoted from Trip Advisor

“Another Great Visit to the Luna” My husband and I returned yesterday from our 4th visit to the Luna and have already booked to go back next June. The accommodation is basic but clean and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. The mini market below the hotel stocks everything you need and at very reasonable prices. We always take the self catering option, making our own breakfast or taking it at Last Paradise just a short walk from the Luna. The snack menu at the Luna is excellent and the staff do their best to cater for special requests. In June I asked if it was possible to have braggioli and this was put on the menu as a 'Special' a couple of days later. This time I had read about the seasonal fish, lampuki, in the Air Malta magazine on our outward flight. I asked about this and it was provided, again a couple of days later, beautifully cooked and the salsa was amazing. The portions are very large, I always take a starter portion of pasta as my main meal and my husband really recommends the rib-eye steak. We always take the English Rose boat trip to the Blue Lagoon where my husband swims and I go for a walk on the island. Once away from the Blue Lagoon you don't meet very many people. I have visited the Comino Hotel and had coffee on their terrace and this time I walked to the gun battery and the Tower. The latter is particularly interesting as there are some good displays and the view from the top is magnificent. We took the bus to Valletta, the new Arriva buses are certainly more comfortable than the old buses and the air conditioning is good but unfortunately they are not so frequent and some people got left behind at certain stops. Apparently the routes are changing in November so maybe that will sort this problem out. €2.60 for a day ticket still presents good value for money. This time we visited the Casa Roca Piccola - well worth a visit and the Danish guide gave just enough information. At €9 this gave good value and in the side street just before the Casa - approaching from the Bus Station is a small cafe - Circles - which advertises all food for less than €6. This was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. We thoroughly enjoy our holidays at the Luna and feel that the people who have written poor reviews should not expect 4 or 5 star facilities for the price they pay at this hotel, Quoted from Trip Advisor
